Through out past years at school we always had computers to our advantage. I can remember when I was in kindergarten, playing on the computer. Now having computers doesn’t mean that we actually used them for school, which is the problem. A lot of the times the we used the computers during free time to play games or surf the web. If we did use the computer for educational purposes, it would be to write a final paper on word. I think that if my teachers would have got us involved in blogs and other Internet assignments. I would have been a better writer. The suggestions I would send to my teachers would be to use the computers more wisely. I think a lot of teachers are stuff in the old school years of teaching. If all the teachers would use technology to their advantage I think we would better writers and all around smarter people. So I would suggest the teachers to slowly add online assignments to their classrooms assignments.

            In my career field, Health Sciences, I’m sure ill use a lot of technology. Hospitals are quickly adding technology everywhere. I think the main thing I would use technology for, would be to communicate with other doctors in or out of the hospital. It is much easier and faster. I think Oakland University does a great job with having lots of way to communicate and accomplish tasks online. Moodle is a perfect example that explains how Oakland gets me involved online.

            I think I’m much more relaxed writing on a blog or email because it is more comfortable for me. I’m surrounded by Facebook, email, and twitter everyday. They are all very similar to blogs and I’m used to writing on there. Which makes it easier and much more relaxed when I have assignments on the blog.

            If I was an English teacher, I would most definitely get my students used to writing on the internet. I think I would even have them start their own website because sooner or later everything is going to be don’t over the web. I think eventually we will get rid of all paper documents and everything will be left on the web. So to prepare my students for the teacher I would make all of them turn assignments online.

            I agree that with Virginia that technology should be brought into the classroom much more because it is the future of our life’s and its going offer many jobs that, the next generations can do. The tone seems very serious. She is very proud and pushing the fact for more technology.
